To mark this year’s campaign and raise awareness of GBV in Uzbekistan, our UN team interviewed a local activist and University Professor Kamola Alieva, who, after teaching law for over 10 years, established a grassroots student volunteering group to help tackle GBV in her community.  

Our UN teams are on the ground in 162 countries and territories, coordinating joint programmes and tackling a range of priorities and initiatives — from climate action and food security to gender equality and safety of civilians.
