Global Accountability Framework on Gender Equality and Women's Empowerment
September 2019
Gender equality, women’s rights and women’s empowerment are essential ingredients in creating a more equitable and just world for all. The 2030 Agenda reaffirmed that gender equality is a condition sine qua non for sustainable development and, at the same time, an indispensable outcome of it. The UN system has a critical role to play in ensuring that a gender perspective is properly reflected in national development processes, and a responsibility to address gender equality through operational activities for development at the country level. Beside the support role UN will play, it also has the responsibility to ensure that its own system, programmes and procedures meet the criterias and implement the requested actions include in this global Normative framework.
We are revamping the UNSDG website to make it clearer, more accessible and easier to navigate. Can you share your feedback through a 7 question anonymous survey to support the process?
