Gender Theme Groups: Standards and Procedures

This document sets out standards and procedures for Gender Theme Groups to guide UNCTs in their establishment and functioning. The standards and procedures aim to address current shortcomings while harnessing existing potential, clarifying how GTGs should function within new frameworks and processes, addressing current challenges and opportunities in a globally coherent manner, within country level contexts. This will be key for effective, integrated and coherent UNCT support to national Gender Equality and Women's Empowerment priorities, in response to the mandate from UN Member States.
